Sottoriva Bakery Spiral Mixers | Hospitality Connect

Choosing the Right Sottoriva Commercial Bakery Equipment for Your Business

Hospitality Connect lists 46 Sottoriva machines, weighted heavily towards spiral dough mixers. The range covers fixed-bowl spiral mixers, tilting spiral mixers that tip the finished dough onto a bench, and dough divider rounders.

Bowl capacity is the first thing to settle, and it should reflect your largest regular batch rather than your biggest ever one, because a spiral mixer works poorly when badly under-filled. The second decision is whether the bowl tips. A tilting mixer discharges the dough onto a bench or into a trough without lifting it by hand, which matters when batches are heavy and the bakery runs several mixes a shift. A fixed bowl costs less and takes less overhead clearance. Divider rounders sit downstream of the mixer, portioning and rounding the bulk dough before shaping.
