Collection: BioPak Bin Liners & Bioplastic Bags

A bioplastic bin liner is a bin bag made from plant-based plastic rather than conventional polyethylene. Venues use them where general waste and food waste are separated, so the liner matches the stream the bin is collected under.

Match the liner to the volume and the shape of the bin, then check there is enough length to fold over the rim. A liner that is too small tears when it is lifted out full, and one that is too large wastes material and slips down inside the bin.

A bin liner sits inside a bin and is lifted out when full. A bag with handles is carried, so it is used for takeaway orders, produce and moving goods between areas. BioPak offers both formats in bioplastic through Hospitality Connect.

Bioplastic bags are used for kitchen and back-of-house bins, food waste collection, and takeaway and produce carrying. Confirm what your waste contractor accepts before switching a whole venue over, because collection services differ on which liners they will take.

Bin liner use follows how often bins are changed rather than how many bins you own. A kitchen bin changed every service goes through far more than a dining room bin changed once a day, so count changes per bin per week when ordering.
