Bormioli Rocco America 20

America 20 is a 24-piece Bormioli Rocco glassware range covering cocktail glasses, tumblers and shot glasses. It includes double old fashioned and cooler sizes, in clear glass as well as sapphire, lilac and rose colours.

DOF stands for double old fashioned, a short, wide tumbler used for spirits over ice and stirred cocktails such as an old fashioned or negroni. The wide mouth suits a large ice cube and a garnish.

A cooler is a tall tumbler used for long drinks such as highballs, spritzes, iced tea and soft drinks, where the glass needs to take a full pour plus ice. It is the tallest tumbler shape in most bar ranges.

Clear glass shows the colour of the drink and suits a classic cocktail list. Coloured glass becomes part of the presentation and works for signature serves. Many bars run both and reserve colour for a short list of drinks.

Order on peak service rather than average trade, and allow for glasses in the wash, on tables and lost to breakage. Bars usually hold the deepest quantities in their highest-volume shapes and fewer of a specialty glass.
