Collection: Avanti Milk Frothers

A milk frother whips air into milk to create foam for cappuccinos, lattes and hot chocolates. A handheld battery model spins a small whisk in the jug, which textures the milk without a steam wand or an espresso machine.

Handheld frothers suit low-volume settings such as offices, workplace kitchens, small venues and room service, where only a few drinks are made at a time. A busy cafe still textures milk faster using the steam wand on its espresso machine.

The Avanti handheld frothers carried by Hospitality Connect are battery-powered, so they need no bench space and no power point. That makes them easy to move between a kitchen, a meeting room and a service trolley, though batteries need replacing over time.

Handheld frothers work with plant-based milks as well as dairy, though each milk foams differently and some hold air for longer than others. Warming the milk before frothing generally gives a denser foam that holds its shape in the cup.

The two names describe the same job: adding air to milk to make foam. Avanti lists both frothers and whippers, and both are handheld tools that spin a small whisk through the milk in a jug rather than heating it.
