Collection: Stolzle New York Bar

Ten pieces are listed in the Stolzle New York Bar range at Hospitality Connect: four whisky glasses, four tumblers and two shot glasses, covering spirit, water and cocktail service.

An old fashioned glass is a short, wide tumbler used for spirits over ice and for stirred cocktails such as an old fashioned or a negroni. Its low centre of gravity makes it stable on a bar.

A highball is a tall narrow tumbler for a spirit served long with a mixer over ice, such as a whisky and soda or a gin and tonic. The height keeps ice, spirit and mixer together.

A whisky glass with a narrower opening concentrates aroma toward the nose, which suits a spirit tasted neat. A wider old fashioned tumbler suits whisky over ice or in a stirred cocktail, where aroma matters less.

Shot glass size matters for pour consistency, because a venue serving a standard measure needs to pour it the same way every time. Check the capacity listed on each Stolzle shot glass against the measure the bar pours.
