Collection: Outdoor Furniture

An outdoor dining area needs tables, table tops and bases suited to weather exposure, plus seating that can be moved or stacked for cleaning and closing. Hospitality Connect carries 11 Bolero outdoor lines, mostly tables and table tops with a base and a chair.

Fibreglass table tops are used in outdoor dining because the surface is moulded rather than a finish applied over timber, and it can carry a timber or stone effect. They are supplied separately from the base, so each part is chosen on its own merits.

A table top and a table base are usually separate lines, so a venue can choose the top for the look it wants and the base for the footprint and stability it needs. It also means a damaged top can be replaced without buying a new base.

Choose a base on the top it has to carry and the ground it stands on. A heavier base with a wider footprint resists wind and knocks in an open courtyard, while a smaller footprint frees legroom in a tight alfresco area. Check it suits the top diameter.

Consider weather exposure, how much furniture has to be moved or stored at close, the walkway width needed to keep the area accessible, and whether the ground is level. Council and licence conditions can also limit what is placed on a footpath.
