Stolzle Event

The Stolzle Event range at Hospitality Connect runs to eight lines, made up of wine glasses and champagne glasses. Shapes include white wine, Bordeaux and Burgundy bowls along with champagne flutes, aimed at function and banquet service.

A Bordeaux glass has a tall, slightly narrower bowl suited to structured red wines. A Burgundy glass is wider and rounder, giving lighter, more aromatic reds a larger surface to open up. Both are stemmed and poured to the widest point of the bowl.

Running one glassware range across a function room keeps every table looking the same, simplifies racking and storage between events, and makes replacements straightforward. Staff also learn one set of shapes, which speeds up setting and clearing large rooms.

A champagne flute has a tall, narrow bowl that slows the loss of carbonation and keeps the bead rising through the pour. That shape suits sparkling wine at functions, where glasses are poured in advance and stand before guests reach them.

White wine is usually served in a smaller, narrower bowl than red, because it is poured cold and the shape helps hold that temperature. Red wine glasses are larger so the wine has room to open before it is drunk.
