Stolzle Kyoto Bar

A Nick and Nora is a small stemmed cocktail glass with a rounded bowl and a narrow opening. The smaller bowl suits a single serve of a stirred cocktail and spills less than a wide coupe or a martini glass when carried.

Kyoto Bar is a small Stolzle range covering whisky glasses, cocktail glasses including saucer and Nick and Nora shapes, and tumblers in tall and short forms. It is aimed at cocktail and spirits service rather than wine.

A coupe, also called a saucer, is a shallow stemmed glass with a wide bowl. It is used for stirred and shaken cocktails served without ice, and the wide surface releases aromatics, though it spills more readily than a narrower glass.

A whisky glass is often narrowed or tapered at the rim to concentrate aroma towards the nose, and is sized for a neat measure. A tumbler is straight-sided and wider, made for a longer drink over ice rather than for nosing spirit.

Rack glasses so rims do not touch, since rim contact in the rack is the most common cause of chipping. Store stemmed glasses upright rather than on the rim, and let glasses dry fully before racking them for service.
