Hospitality Connect lists six Ocean glassware lines, made up of wine glasses, a tumbler and a champagne glass. Tiara and Madison are among the shapes in the range, which suits venues adding to an existing glassware set.

A red wine glass has a wider bowl so the wine has surface area to open and release aroma. A white wine glass is narrower, holding a smaller pour so the wine stays cold through the glass rather than warming in the hand.

A tumbler is the general-purpose bar glass, used for water, soft drinks, juices and spirits served over ice. Because it covers so many pours, it usually turns over faster than any other shape and is bought in the largest quantity.

A narrow bowl reduces the surface area where carbonation escapes, so sparkling wine holds its bead longer and the drink stays lively through service. A wide glass looks generous but goes flat well before the pour is finished.

Check that the glass fits the venue's washing racks and the shelf height above the bar, and confirm the capacity works for the drinks being served. Also consider how the shape stores, because tall stems take far more space than tumblers.
