Collection: Fry Baskets

Measure the fryer well rather than relying on the model name, then choose a basket that clears the sides and hangs correctly on the drain bar. Twin baskets split one well into two loads, while a full-size single basket suits bulk chips.

A fry basket is built to be lowered into hot oil in a deep fryer and to drain afterwards. A serving basket is a presentation item used to hand fried food to the customer at the table or counter, and is not made for hot oil.

Commercial fry baskets are generally made from steel wire with a chrome-plated or stainless finish, chosen to withstand repeated immersion in hot oil and regular cleaning. Handles are usually fitted with a hook that rests on the fryer drain bar.

Twin baskets divide a fryer well so two different products cook at once, which suits a menu running chips and crumbed items together. A single full-size basket holds a larger load and suits high-volume chip service from one well.

Round fry baskets are made for round fryer wells and for smaller portions, such as single serves lowered into a countertop fryer. Rectangular baskets fit the rectangular wells found on most floor-standing commercial fryers and hold a larger load.
