Olympia Athena

Olympia Athena is a commercial crockery range made for hotels, function centres, pubs and cafes. Hospitality Connect lists 42 Athena pieces, covering wide and narrow rimmed plates, oval plates, stacking pieces and coffee cups.

A wide rim plate has a broad flat border that frames the food and gives staff a place to hold the plate. A narrow rim plate uses more of the same overall diameter as usable surface, so it carries a larger portion.

Stacking crockery nests so a shelf or service station holds more covers in the same depth. That matters in hotels and function venues storing several hundred plates, and it also makes plates faster and safer to move in bulk.

Hotelware is commercial crockery designed for high volume, long life service in hotels, function centres and institutional venues. Ranges are kept in production for years, so a venue can replace breakages and add pieces without changing the look.

Oval plates suit long items and shared dishes that crowd a round plate, such as whole fish, a rack, a mixed grill or a platter of sides. They also fit more easily along a narrow table than a large round plate.
