Collection: Avanti Cast Iron Teaware

Cast iron holds heat well, so a pot carried to the table stays warm through a longer tea service without a warmer underneath it. The weight and the cast finish also make the pot a presentation piece, which suits tea houses and considered dining.

Choose capacity on whether the pot serves one person or a shared table. A small pot pours out before the tea over-brews, while a larger pot suits two or more people but is heavier for both staff and customers to lift and pour.

Leaf tea needs an infuser basket or a strainer so the leaves can be lifted out once the tea has brewed, otherwise the pot keeps extracting and the tea turns bitter. Check whether the pot you choose is supplied with an infuser before ordering.

Rinse a cast iron teapot with hot water and dry it thoroughly rather than leaving it to sit wet. Follow the care instructions supplied with the pot, because cast iron is treated differently from the porcelain and stainless steel teaware in the same service.

They are pattern names within Avanti's cast iron teaware range, each with a different cast surface design. The pattern is a presentation choice and does not change how the pot is used, so venues generally pick the one that suits the room.
