Pot Washers

A commercial pot washer is a heavy-duty machine that cleans pots, pans, gastronorm pans and utensils using high-pressure jets and hot water. It handles baked-on residue and oversized cookware that a standard commercial dishwasher cannot fit or clean properly.

A commercial dishwasher is built for plates, glasses and cutlery on short cycles at moderate pressure. A pot washer has a taller chamber, stronger jets and longer cycles designed to strip burnt-on food from cookware, so it uses more water and energy per load.

A pot washer needs a water connection, a drain able to take its discharge, and an electrical supply matched to the machine rating. Larger machines commonly require three phase power, so confirm what is available at the wash-up before ordering.

A passthrough pot washer is loaded from one side of a wall or bench and unloaded from the other, so soiled cookware never crosses back over the clean side. The layout suits busy kitchens where wash-up runs continuously right through service.

Pot washers suit kitchens producing large volumes of cookware: hotels, clubs, aged care, hospitals, bakeries and central production kitchens, or any venue where staff spend hours at the sink. Below that volume, a sink and a plate machine usually cope.
