Shelving care and longevity

• Wipe down weekly: Mild detergent and water; avoid chlorine or strong acids on chrome — they pit the plating.
• Inspect clips on rotation: Check the plastic sleeves twice a year. Cracked sleeves let shelves drop under load.
• Re-level after heavy loads: Post feet can sink slightly into vinyl flooring; recheck level after the first month of full loading.
• Move stock by the FIFO rule: Rotating stock front to back stops boxes warping the shelf bars over time.
• Cut posts cleanly when needed: If you need a custom height for a low cool room ceiling, cut with an angle grinder and cap the post — never leave raw edges that snag clothing.
