Collection: Superware Red

Superware Red at Hospitality Connect covers eight melamine lines in a red colourway, including round rimmed plates, soup and cereal bowls and a mug. It is used in aged care, hospitals, camps, schools and function catering.

Stackable tableware stores in less shelf space and travels safely on a trolley, which matters where hundreds of covers are set and cleared each day. Pieces from a single range nest properly, while mixed patterns stack unevenly and are more likely to topple.

Melamine suits outdoor tables, poolside service and camps because it does not shatter when dropped on a hard surface. It is also lighter than ceramic, so it is less likely to be knocked off a table and easier to carry in volume.

Colour affects how well a diner can see the food in front of them. Strong contrast between the plate and the meal helps people with low vision or dementia judge what is on the plate, which is why bold colours are used in aged care.

Plate size should follow the standard portion being served rather than the largest meal on the menu. A plate sized to the actual serve looks generous, stacks in the same footprint across the service and keeps portioning consistent between staff.
