Collection: Chef Beanies

A chef beanie keeps hair contained and off the food, absorbs sweat on a hot line, and gives a consistent look across the kitchen team. It does the same job as a traditional toque without the height, bulk or formality.

Cool Vent is a Chef Works construction that builds ventilation into the garment so heat and moisture can escape. In a beanie that means airflow through the crown, which matters for a chef working a hot section across a long shift.

The chef beanies listed at Hospitality Connect come in colours including black, grey and white. Darker colours show marks less across a service, while white suits venues that keep a traditional whites uniform standard front of house.

Kitchen headwear is worn to contain hair so it does not reach food or surfaces, and a close-fitting beanie does that job. Confirm the requirement with your own food safety programme, since standards are set by the venue and its local regulator.

Buy enough to rotate through laundry so every chef starts each shift with a clean beanie. Kitchens generally hold several per person, because headwear absorbs sweat and steam and needs washing far more often than a jacket or apron.
