Avanti Ultra-Grip Tools

Ultra-Grip is Avanti's handle design across its kitchen tool range. A grip handle stays controllable in a wet or greasy hand, which is where thin, smooth-handled gadgets slip on a busy prep bench.

A melon baller is a small hemispherical scoop that cuts uniform rounds from soft produce. Kitchens use it for melon and fruit platters, for portioning butter, and for coring small fruit and vegetables neatly.

A grater has larger openings and shreds cheese, vegetables and chocolate into strands. A zester has fine teeth that take only the coloured outer layer of citrus skin, leaving the bitter white pith behind.

Nylon spoons do not scratch coated and non-stick surfaces the way metal utensils do, which extends the life of pans and inserts. They also stay cooler to the touch than a metal spoon left in a hot pot.

A corer removes the central core and seeds from an apple, pear or similar fruit in a single push, leaving the fruit whole for baking, stuffing or slicing into rings. It saves the knife work of quartering.
