Brew Onyx

The Brew Onyx collection at Hospitality Connect holds 11 pieces, including coffee cups, espresso cups, latte cups, mugs and saucers. Brew Onyx is one colourway of the Brew cafe drinkware range used by Australian cafes.

A flat white is served in the middle cup size, larger than an espresso cup and smaller than a latte cup. Cafes usually carry three cup sizes so espresso, flat white and latte can each be poured to the right volume.

Saucers are made to suit particular cups rather than the whole range, so order the saucer listed for the cup you are buying. A saucer with the wrong well allows the cup to slide when a full drink is carried.

Cup numbers follow peak-hour volume and wash cycle rather than daily totals: enough cups to serve the busiest hour with a set circulating through the dishwasher. Most cafes carry more of the middle size than espresso or latte cups.

A dark colourway contrasts with milk foam and latte art, which shows the pour clearly. Water marks are more visible on dark surfaces than on white, so cups are worth a check on the way to the table.
