Collection: Bormioli Rocco Fido Jars

A Fido jar is a Bormioli Rocco clear glass jar with a hinged clip-top lid that closes against a rubber seal. The lid stays attached to the jar, so there is no separate screw lid to match or lose.

The rubber seal is a separate component from the jar and the lid, and it is the part that wears with repeated use and washing. Replacing the seal restores the closure without needing to replace the jar itself.

A terrine jar is wider and squarer than a standard preserving jar, shaped so a set terrine, pate or rillette can be packed in and turned out in one piece. The wide opening is what makes that possible.

Yes. Clip-top glass jars are used in professional kitchens for pickles, ferments, preserves, infusions and prepped components, and on cafe and deli counters for display, because the contents are visible through clear glass.

Choose the jar to the batch rather than the other way round. A jar much larger than the quantity being packed leaves air space above the contents, which works against a clean closure and shortens how long the contents keep.
