Stainless Steel Double Sink Bench

This range covers 90 double sink stainless steel benches for commercial kitchen wash and prep areas, from brands including Modular, KitchenKnock and Simply Stainless. Models are available with splashbacks and undershelves.

A double bowl bench gives two separate sinks in one run, allowing washing in one bowl and rinsing in the other without carrying dripping items across a kitchen. Bowl size is the first decision, because the bowls must take the largest pot, tray or gastronorm pan in use, and a pot sink is a deeper specification than a general purpose bowl. Bench length follows the wall run available. An undershelf adds storage underneath but limits what can be pushed beneath the bench, so decide before ordering.

Double sink bench care and longevity

• Wipe with the grain: Cleaning across the brushed grain shows scratches; with the grain hides them.
• Avoid chlorine bleach on welds: Sodium hypochlorite pits 304 stainless at weld lines. Use chlorine-free sanitisers around joints.
• Don't use steel wool: Iron particles embed in stainless and form rust spots. Use stainless or nylon scourers.
• Re-tighten leg adjusters quarterly: Vibration from heavy bowl loading loosens leg threads.
• Inspect drain seals annually: Worn drain seals leak below the bench — preventive replacement is cheap.
