Brew Sandstone

Brew Sandstone at Hospitality Connect covers six lines of coffee cups and saucers, stepping through espresso, long black, cappuccino and mug sizes. The pieces share one sandstone colourway so the sizes can be used together on a cafe counter.

A cappuccino is served in a wide, relatively shallow cup so the textured milk sits across the surface and holds its pattern to the table. A narrow cup pushes the foam upwards and makes latte art harder to pour and harder to read.

An espresso cup is small so a short shot fills it rather than sitting as a thin layer in the base. That keeps the crema intact, holds the temperature for the short time the drink is drunk, and presents the coffee at the right depth.

Saucers are matched to cup diameter so the cup sits in the well rather than sliding across the surface. Buying cups and saucers from the same range keeps every size paired correctly and avoids a mismatched setting on the cafe counter.

A long black is poured as a shot over hot water, so it needs a cup with more capacity than an espresso but less than a mug. The cup should hold the full volume with room below the rim so it can be carried without spilling.
