Collection: Tablekraft Urban Loft Auburn

Hospitality Connect carries 12 Tablekraft Urban Loft Auburn lines: four platters, four bowls and ramekins, three plates and a further tableware line. Round and oval serving shapes make up most of it, so the range leans towards shared service.

A round platter suits a centre-of-table share plate and takes up less width on a laid setting. An oval platter gives more length for rows of food, so it works for grazing, charcuterie, whole fish and function platters set along a bench.

Platters are held in far smaller numbers than plates, because one platter serves a whole table. Count the shared dishes that go out at once during your busiest service, then add spares so a platter is free while others are being washed.

A coloured platter range works where the food is the contrast: grazing boards, share plates, breakfast service and casual dining. Venues generally keep a neutral plate range for mains and use the coloured pieces for shared and side service.

Platters are commonly used on buffets and grazing tables, because they hold a spread of food at a height customers can reach across. Check the platter fits the frame or riser you serve from, since round and oval shapes fill a table differently.
