Bonna Notte Black

Bonna Notte Black is a commercial crockery range in a single dark finish, covering round and coupe plates, bowls, dishes and oval platters. Hospitality Connect lists 61 pieces from the range for restaurants, cafes, hotels and function venues.

A coupe plate has a shallow, curved well and no defined rim, so the eating surface runs out to the edge. Chefs use coupe plates for saucy dishes and modern plating, because sauce is contained without a flat border framing the food.

Black crockery gives strong contrast for pale foods, bright vegetables, seafood and sauces, which is why it is used for modern plating. Dark dishes such as braises and chocolate desserts need a lighter garnish so they do not disappear.
