Castaway Lids

Castaway lids are disposable lids that fit takeaway cups and bowls, closing the container for transport. Cafes and takeaway venues use them so hot and cold orders can leave the counter without spilling on the way.

Lids are matched to the rim diameter of the container rather than to the brand name on the cup. Check the diameter stated on your cup or bowl, choose the lid listed for that measurement, and test one before ordering a full carton.

A lid even slightly wider or narrower than the rim will not seat properly, so it works loose in transit or leaks around the edge. Matching the stated rim diameter is more reliable than matching by cup volume alone.

Order fewer lids than cups where a share of your trade is eat-in, and closer to one for one where most orders are takeaway. Tracking the ratio over a few weeks is more accurate than ordering matched cartons by default.
