Collection: Peer Sorensen Chopping & Serving Boards

Peer Sorensen has been making wooden boards in Australia since 1981. The early boards were cut from Tasmanian hardwoods; today the range uses sustainably sourced acacia, European beech and bamboo, along with marble, in response to changing forestry practice. Four decades on, the brand is still built on the same idea — a board should be dense enough to take daily knife work, and good enough looking to carry straight to the table.

Every board carries its own grain, so no two are identical. The finish is chosen to preserve the character of the timber rather than bury it, which is why these boards get used as much for serving as for prep.

Hospitality Connect stocks Peer Sorensen for home kitchens, entertainers and gift buyers, with delivery Australia-wide from our Penrith warehouse.

H2: The range

• Acacia boards — richly grained hardwood with strong figure and colour variation. The signature material, in sizes from small prep boards through to large platters
• Slimline boards — a lighter, thinner profile for everyday chopping and quick serving
• Bamboo — fast-growing, hard-wearing, and the most affordable option. Long-grain construction with juice channels on many designs
• European beech — pale, close-grained and very hard. Understated and extremely durable
• Marble — cool-surfaced boards for cheese, charcuterie and pastry work
• Cheese and serving boards — including sets supplied with knives, plus platters, lazy susans and serving trays
• Knife blocks and woodware — matching pieces to carry the timber through the kitchen
