Gas cooktops — open burners, boiling tops and solid tops — remain the default hot line in Australian commercial kitchens with a gas connection. Instant, visible flame control and high peak output make them the only practical choice for wok work and large stockpots.

Hospitality Connect supplies bench-mounted, cabinet-base and leg-stand gas cooktops from 300mm to 1200mm, in 2, 4, 6 and 8 burner configurations, with flame failure devices and Australian gas approval. Natural gas and LPG.

Specifying a gas cooktop

• Burner output: Rated in MJ/h. Wok and stockpot work needs high-output burners; sauce work does not.
• Base options: Bench model, leg stand, cabinet base or refrigerated base — chosen to match the line height and under-bench storage.
• Sealed vs open hobs: Sealed hobs contain spills and clean faster; open burners deliver more heat.
• Flame failure: Mandatory on commercial gas equipment in Australia.
