Collection: Electric Boiling Tops

A commercial electric hot plate, also called a boiling top, provides direct heat under pots and pans for boiling, simmering and sauce work. It gives a kitchen a cooking surface where gas is not available or not permitted.

A boiling top is the cooking surface on its own, either as a countertop unit or a top section. A range combines that surface with an oven underneath, so it takes more floor space and a larger power or gas supply.

Electric suits venues without a gas connection, sites where gas is restricted and tenancies in shopping centres. Gas gives faster response at the burner. The decision is usually driven by the services available at the site.

A countertop boiling top sits on a bench or stand rather than standing on the floor. It suits small kitchens, prep areas and secondary cooking lines where a full floor-standing range would not fit or is not needed.

This range includes electric boiling tops from Giorik, Crown and Goldstein, in countertop formats with round hot plates. Hospitality Connect supplies them to trade buyers across Australia, with delivery Australia-wide.
