Collection: Gas Char Grills

Gas char grills — also called char broilers or chargrills — sear over radiant heat from gas burners beneath cast-iron grates or lava rock. They deliver the char marks and smoke flavour that define steak, burger and barbecue menus, with instant heat control and no fire management.

Hospitality Connect supplies bench-mounted and cabinet-mounted gas char grills from 300mm to 1200mm, in radiant, lava rock and char rock configurations, with flame failure devices and Australian gas approval.

Char grill formats

• Radiant: Steel radiants above the burner spread heat evenly and vaporise drippings for smoke flavour.
• Lava rock: Rocks absorb and re-radiate heat; drippings vaporise on contact. Rocks need periodic replacement.
• Char rock: Ceramic briquettes — longer life than lava rock, more even heat.
