Victorinox Peelers

A single-edge peeler cuts on the pull stroke only, giving a steady rhythm over a long prep job. A double-edge peeler cuts in both directions, halving the strokes needed and speeding up a large batch of potatoes.

A serrated peeler has a toothed blade that grips soft, waxy or slippery skins a straight blade slides over, such as tomatoes, peaches, mangoes and kiwifruit. It removes skin without tearing into the flesh.

Coloured handles let a kitchen separate peelers by task or section, in the same way colour-coded knives and boards work under a HACCP plan. The Victorinox peeler range includes handle colours such as red and black.

A stainless steel peeler has no separate handle material to crack or absorb moisture, which suits heavy washing. A moulded handle gives more grip when hands are wet. Victorinox lists both stainless and coloured-handle peelers.
