A static display cools without a fan, relying on natural air movement inside the cabinet. It runs quietly and is gentler on the surface of the gelato, though it recovers temperature more slowly than a forced air cabinet after the lid has been open.

Start from the number of flavours you want on display, since each one takes a pan position. Then check the cabinet width against the counter run and allow clearance around the unit so the refrigeration can breathe properly.

A mini display suits a cafe adding gelato alongside an existing menu, where a full counter cannot be justified. It carries fewer flavours but takes far less counter space, so the offer can be tested before committing to a larger cabinet.

Gelato display cabinets are used in gelaterias, dessert bars, cafes, restaurants and takeaway shops that scoop to order. They also appear in venues where the display itself draws customers in, since the product is visible from the street or counter.
