Collection: Metaltex

A spiral skimmer is a wire-headed utensil used to lift food out of hot oil or boiling water and to clear debris from the surface of a fryer or stock pot. The open wire head drains liquid quickly as food is lifted.

Four Metaltex products are listed under utensils and gadgets. Hospitality Connect carries them alongside the wider kitchen smallwares catalogue for cafes, restaurants, pubs, clubs, bakeries, aged care and institutional kitchens.

Yes. Handle length sets how far a cook's hand sits from the heat when reaching across a burner or a fryer well. A longer handle gives more clearance, while a shorter one is easier to control over a small pot.

Most kitchens keep separate skimmers for frying and for boiling or blanching. Moving one tool between hot oil and water carries oil into the pot and water into the fryer, and both cause problems during service.

Yes. Hospitality Connect is based in Penrith, New South Wales and delivers kitchen smallwares Australia-wide. Trade pricing applies for cafes, restaurants, pubs, clubs, bakeries, aged care kitchens and institutional catering operations ordering utensils.
