Collection: Metallurgia

Metallurgia makes barista bench accessories. Hospitality Connect carries 20 Metallurgia lines, mostly stainless steel milk jugs, knock boxes and knock tubes, plus one tapware line, for cafes, restaurants and venues running an espresso machine.

Match jug capacity to the drinks textured in one pour: a smaller jug for a single cup, a larger one when two drinks go out together. Overfilling a jug makes the milk hard to texture, so most cafes keep two or three sizes on the bench.

A knock box is the container a barista knocks the spent coffee puck into after pulling a shot. It sits on or in the bench beside the machine so the group head is cleared quickly, then it is emptied into a bin or a compost stream.

A knock box is a freestanding container that sits on the bench and is lifted out to empty. A knock tube drops through the benchtop, so the puck goes straight down out of sight and no bench space is taken up, which suits a narrow coffee bar.

Stainless steel conducts heat, so a barista can feel the milk temperature through the side of the jug and stop texturing at the right point. It is also a non-porous surface, which suits repeated washing between dairy and plant-based milks.
