A batch freezer churns and freezes a prepared gelato or ice cream mix into finished product, one batch at a time. It sits between pasteurising the mix and filling display pans, and it largely determines the texture of the gelato.

A combined machine handles pasteurising and batch freezing in a single unit rather than two separate machines. It suits smaller production spaces where floor area is limited and one machine has to cover both steps.

Batch size sets how much gelato is produced per cycle and how often the machine runs across a shift. Match it to daily production and the number of flavours on display, because an undersized machine forces repeated cycles.

No. A batch freezer produces gelato from a liquid mix, while a display cabinet holds finished gelato at serving temperature in front of customers. A gelateria needs both, and they are specified separately.

Yes. Hospitality Connect supplies Innova Movi batch freezers Australia-wide from its base in Penrith, New South Wales, and offers trade pricing to gelaterias, ice cream makers, cafes and pastry kitchens ordering production equipment.
