Gasmax four burner gas range with oven and flame failure protection.

Gas Ranges

Gas ranges combine an open-burner or solid cooktop with an oven beneath, in a single freestanding unit. They are the core of most Australian commercial hot lines, giving hob and oven capacity in one footprint.

Hospitality Connect supplies 600mm, 900mm and 1200mm gas ranges with static or convection ovens, in 4, 6 and 8 burner configurations. Many models pair a gas hob with an electric convection oven — these are listed here, because the hob defines the appliance.

Specifying a range

  • Static vs convection oven: Static for roasting and braising; convection for even baking and higher throughput.
  • Burner count and output: Match to peak service, not average covers.
  • Gas hob, electric oven: A common hybrid — instant hob control with even oven heat.
  • Flame failure and certification: Mandatory; installation by a licensed gasfitter.

Choosing the Right Gas Ranges for Your Business

Hospitality Connect stocks 385 commercial gas ranges with ovens for restaurants, pubs, clubs, hotels and institutional kitchens. Every product in the collection is a stove range with an oven underneath, combining open burners with baking capacity in one floor-standing unit. Waldorf, Goldstein and Blue Seal make up most of the range.

Width is the first decision, because the unit has to fit the cooking line and leave room for the modules either side of it. Burner count follows from that width and from the number of pots you run at peak. The oven below is either static or convection: a static oven radiates heat and suits roasting and slow cooking, while a convection oven circulates air with a fan for faster, more even baking across several shelves.
