Display baskets and bowls present bread, pastries, fruit, and finger food at the front-of-house. The right basket sets the visual standard of a buffet, breakfast service, or dessert counter — and the wrong basket (warped wire, cracked plastic) undermines an otherwise tight presentation.

Materials we stock

• 18/10 stainless steel wire baskets: The commercial standard — open-weave wire allows airflow around bread, dishwasher-safe, and won't rust over years of service.
• Polypropylene bread baskets: Lightweight and dishwasher-safe — café and casual venue choice. Available in colours for visual menu differentiation.
• Stainless steel rectangular trays and bowls: Solid-bottom for moist items (fruit, pastry assortments) and where you don't want crumbs falling through.
• Serving baskets: Flat-base baskets for chips, popcorn, finger food — typically lined with grease-proof paper.

Sizing — 95 to 300mm

The Chef Inox display basket range we carry runs 95mm to 300mm across the most popular formats. Plan basket size around the items presented:

• 95–150mm: Single-portion baskets — bread for a single table cover, individual pastry presentation.
• 150–220mm: Shared bread basket for a 2–4 cover table, fruit display, finger-food platters.
• 220–300mm: Buffet and bulk display — bread basket for a self-serve station, fruit cornucopia, hot finger food in volume.

Care and longevity

• Stainless wire — dishwasher OK: Run through commercial dishwashers daily. Wire baskets that show rust have lower-grade alloy — replace with 18/10 wire.
• Polypropylene — high-temp wash check: Standard wash cycles fine; check temperature rating before high-temp sanitiser cycles.
• Line with paper for greasy or moist food: Greaseproof or napkin liners protect the basket and keep presentation crisp.
