Furi was established in Australia in 1996 by Australian engineers working with international chefs, and the reverse wedge handle is what came out of it - the handle locks into the hand rather than sitting in it, which holds grip through a long shift and cuts down repetitive strain. The seamless all-stainless construction has no join between blade and handle, so there is nowhere for food or bacteria to lodge.
