Double sink benches handle pot wash, dish wash and prep wash — the heavy-duty plumbing of any commercial kitchen. The right configuration matches your room layout, water inlet/outlet positions and the section's workflow (left/right/centre sinks). Hospitality Connect stocks the full KitchenKnock stainless double sink range — double centre, double left, double right configurations from 1200mm up to 2400mm widths in 600mm and 700mm depths.
Choosing the right double sink configuration
- Double centre sinks: Two bowls in the middle, drain board on both ends — for back-of-house pot wash where staff work from both sides.
- Double left sinks: Two bowls on the left, drain board on the right — for right-handed workflows draining clean to the right.
- Double right sinks: Mirror configuration — two bowls right, drain left.
- Width options: 1200, 1500, 1800, 2100 and 2400mm — match to room width and adjacent equipment.
- Depth options: 600mm or 700mm — match to your bench depth standard.
Specifying for your kitchen
A standard restaurant pot wash needs at least a 1500mm double-centre sink — pre-wash one bowl, sanitise the other. Production kitchens running protein and produce on the same wash bench need 2100mm minimum with separate drain boards. Café sinks (lighter use) can run a 1200mm. Match sink depth (600/700) to the rest of the kitchen — mismatched depths break the bench-line aesthetic and create cleaning gaps.
Plumbing and installation considerations
- Inlet plumbing: Hot and cold mixer taps; pre-rinse spray for high-throughput dishwash.
- Drainage: Bowl drains plus floor waste — sized to handle peak service volume without backing up.
- Splashback: 100mm splashback above bowl level standard; full-height splashback to match wall tiles available on request.
- Working height: 900mm working height standard — adjustable feet allow ±25mm trim at install.
- Grade: 304-grade stainless for general kitchen; 316-grade for coastal venues and seafood sections.

We've supplied equipment to all of these, and that experience helps us flag when a piece of equipment is right-sized or when a different model would suit your throughput better.
All standard SKUs in this collection ship from our Melbourne warehouse, with freight to most metropolitan areas in 1–3 business days. Heavy and oversized items are dispatched on tail-lift trucks for ground-level delivery. We coordinate dispatch around your install date so equipment arrives when the kitchen is ready for it, not weeks ahead when it sits in the way.
