What the Difference Between Gastronorm and Baking Pans
Are you new to the industry and read gastronorm or baking pan Size and not sure what this refer to? In the Commercial Industry there is only Two types of pans we use the Gastronorm (Also known as GN Pans) and Baking Pans

Commercial Baking pans standard pan is 600x400. These Pan you can get In various material which include Stainless Steel, Aluminium and Non Stick. They Do come in Different Shape such as Baking Sheets, Baking pans, Bread Holder and Perforated Pans.
Gastronorm Pans is a Common Pan in the Commercial Kitchen. These pans are used in the Combi Oven, Convection Oven, Stoves with Ranges, Refrigeration, Bain Marie, Hot Food Display and Cold Food Display. The Pans come in Trays, Pans and Containers for the Food Service Industry. . It was originated in Switzerland in the 60s. The aim was to standardize the various sizes of pans and trays. It is generally used worldwide now except in the United States, which has its own domestic system. So how Does these Pans Work?
1/1 GN Pan is One Full Pan Measurement is 535x325
½ GN Pan is Half of a Full Pan Measurement is 325x265 (2 )
1/3 Gn Pan is a Third of a Full Pan Measurement is 325x176 ( 3 )
¼ GN Pan is a quarter of a Full pan Measurement is 162x265 (4)
1/6 GN Pan is one Sixth of a Full pan Measurement is 162x176 (6)
1/9 GN Pan is a Ninth of a Full Pan Measurement is 176x106 (9)
